The Delhi Police has apprehended two terror accused including a juvenile. They are held from Jamnagar in Gujarat in connection with the May 9 RPG attack at Punjab Police headquarters in Mohali .
The police identified the attackers — the juvenile, a resident of Faizabad in Uttar Pradesh and Deepak, a resident of Surakhpur, Haryana. As per police, the attack was orchestrated by gangster Harvinder Singh alias Rinda at the behest of infamous ISI of Pakistan.
The minor, a hardened criminal already is also wanted in the murder of builder Sanjay Biyani on April 5 in Maharashtra’s Nanded and the killing of gangster Rana Kandowalia, the main shooter of the Lawrence Bishnoi gang, in Amritsar on August 4 last year.
Apart from the youngster , the Special Cell of the Delhi Police has arrested another man, identified as Arshdeep Singh, in connection with the recovery of an Improvised Explosive Device in Haryana on August 4, police said.
Another fugitive , a gangster and terrorist Lakhbir Singh Landa, from Canada, also joined hands with Rinda in sharing of manpower, logistics and resources, the police said.
The investigation established that the attack was a conspiracy of the Babbar Khalsa International (BKI), backed by Pakistan’s Inter-Services Intelligence (ISI) and local gangsters.
Rinda was allegedly involved in the grenade attack in Nawanshahr after the arrest of four suspected Pakistan-linked terrorists in Haryana’s Karnal. Arshdeep Singh hailing from Tarn Taran in Punjab, was wanted in the IED recovery case in Kurukshetra along with cases related to supply of narcotics and arms.
With the arrest, the police is able to expose the nexus between Rinda and Landa. While the juvenile was being handled by Rinda, Arshdeep was being handled by Landa, police said.
The juvenile disclosed that Lawrence Bishnoi gave him, Surakhpur and Dagar the task regarding the elimination of Salman Khan. However, later Kandowalia was made their primary target instead of Khan.
