The primary objective of this project is to transform the Assembly into a paperless entity. Following the inauguration ceremony, President Murmu will proceed to address the MLAs.
In a video statement, Patel elaborated, “Vidhan Sabha Speaker Shankar Chaudhary extended an invitation to President Murmu to inaugurate the project and deliver a speech during the third session of the 15th Assembly, which is scheduled to commence on September 13.” He further highlighted, “The digitalization of the Gujarat Assembly, aligning with PM Modi’s ‘One Nation, One Application’ initiative, was successfully accomplished under the guidance of Speaker Shankar Chaudhary. President Draupadi Murmu graciously accepted the invitation to inaugurate the digital transformation of the Gujarat Assembly.”
The NeVA application has been designed to facilitate the active participation of MLAs in various technology-based activities by equipping them with tablets. Adequate training has been provided to them for this purpose.
In another development, Congress general secretary in-charge of Gujarat, Mukul Wasnik, issued directives on Saturday to the heads of the party’s frontal organisations in the state, instructing them to fill vacant positions.
