Gautam Vaghela, a police constable posted in Ahwa of Dang district was booked under the Gujarat Land Grabbing (Prohibition) Act on Sunday for allegedly grabbing an apartment in Rajkot owned by a builder, Dilip Vadher.
Vadher had given an application in August seeking registration of FIR against constable Gautam Vaghela under the land grabbing act for usurping an apartment belonging to him. The apartment is located in a posh area of Rajkot, Raiya Road.

The district collector of Rajkot approved 60-year-old Vadher’s application last week and accordingly, an FIR was registered against the constable on Sunday. After the registration of FIR, constable Vaghela has been detained and taken for Covid-19 tests. He will then be arrested if he tests negative for Covid-19.
