In a tragic incident outside the Rajkot bus port, a 21-year-old student from Gondal lost his life after being crushed between two state transport buses on Saturday. The victim, identified as Brijesh Solanki, tragically passed away before he could receive medical attention.
Brijesh Solanki, a student at a polytechnic college, had arrived in Rajkot with his friend Dhaval Mer via a State Transport Bus, disembarking at the port around 10 am. However, upon their arrival, they encountered a traffic jam at the entry gate. Attempting to navigate through the congestion towards Bhutkhana Chowk, Brijesh and Dhaval exited the bus near the depot’s entry gate.
Tragically, as Brijesh attempted to pass between two buses that were queued up, one of the buses began reversing, resulting in him getting crushed between them. The severity of the incident led to Solanki sustaining fatal head injuries, resulting in his untimely demise. According to Dhaval’s statement to the police, Brijesh had plans to travel to Dwarka with a friend for a video shoot. Following the incident, an offence was lodged against the bus driver involved in the accident.
