A Rajkot youth, Shubham Bagatharia died by suicide today by jumping into the Aji Dam after losing over one lakh rupees in Teen Patti, a popular card game. Prior to the incident, he shared a video on social media, expressing his financial loss in the game as the reason for his death. The police have initiated an investigation into the matter, and the deceased’s body has been recovered.
In his video, he stated that “Today, I bring an end to his life, taking responsibility for all losses.” My share in the game was substantial: 65,000 rupees, Harsh’s 30,000 rupees, and Ashwin’s 20,000 rupees. I lost it all in an online Teen Patti game, which pushed me to take this drastic step. The youth’s final words in the video were, “Mom, Dad, I love you. Keep smiling.” In the video, he mentioned that he had kept his bike near the accident site and said that whatever money they will get after selling his bike, give it to those who are in need.
