Rashtriya Raksha University Concludes Week-Long Program

In a memorandum of understanding between the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) and the Rashtriya Raksha University (RRU), the latter organized a Capacity Building Programme for CBI Officers between 4th to 9th April 2022, Gandhinagar, Gujarat. 

Rashtriya Raksha University is established by the Indian Parliament Act No. 31, the Rashtriya Raksha University Act of 2020. The University aspires to become a national security and law enforcement academic-research-training institution. 

The School of Forensics, Risk Management, and National Security of RRU organized the Capacity Building Program.

Twenty investigating officers attended the program, which concluded on 10th April 2022. It was the second batch of officers who participated in the program, which is a part of promoting the mission of the Capacity Building Commission of India. 

Prof. (Dr.) Bimal N. Patel, the Vice-Chancellor, graced the inauguration ceremony with his presence on 4th April 2022. Dr. J.R. Gaur, Director of SFRMS, RRU, and the nodal officer of the program, gave the welcoming address to the participants and briefed them on the schools’ several roles in their one-week training. 

Further, he focused on the necessity of parallel developments between the scientific capacities of Investigation officers and the global scientific enhancements required to solve a crime. 

The Vice-Chancellor focused on the requirement for technologically skilled staff in criminal investigations, notably in financial, economic, and white-collar offenses. In his address, he highlighted the ITEC program by RRU that provides training inputs to friendly countries. He wishes that agencies and academic institutions should collaborate more often to assess training needs. 

On 5th April 2022, the second day of the training program, Shree Praveen Sinha, IPS, addressed the participants. Based on the feedback from the participants, he said that the addition of more topics would happen to the training modules. 

During the five-days program, various lecturers took detailed sessions on several different topics.
