Raveena Tandon Condemns Man for Filming Katrina Kaif’s Holy Dip at Maha Kumbh

| Updated: March 2, 2025 16:11

Actor Raveena Tandon has condemned the actions of a man who filmed Bollywood star Katrina Kaif during her holy dip at the Triveni Sangam at the Maha Kumbh, calling the incident “disgusting” and an invasion of what was meant to be a peaceful moment.

Katrina, who is married to actor Vicky Kaushal, visited Prayagraj on February 24 with her mother-in-law Veena Kaushal.

Raveena was also present in the city on the same day and attended the evening aarti ceremony alongside Katrina and her daughter, actor Rasha Thadani.

A video circulating on social media shows a man filming Katrina as she took the holy dip. In the clip, the man can be heard saying, “Ye main hoon, ye mera bhai hai aur ye Katrina Kaif (this is me, that is my brother and that’s Katrina Kaif),” while other men around him laugh and attempt to catch a glimpse of the actor.

The video was shared on Instagram by an entertainment news portal on Saturday. Reacting to the post, Raveena commented, “This is disgusting. These kind of people spoil a moment that is supposed to be peaceful and meaningful.”

A number of social media users also criticised the behaviour of the men in the video. Comments described the incident as “very bad” and “mass bullying,” with others calling it “disrespectful” and “embarrassing.”

Reports suggest that several drone-shot videos circulated online last week, showing Katrina being mobbed as she tried to exit the water after performing the ritual.

The Maha Kumbh concluded on February 26, with several actors, including Vicky Kaushal, Sonali Bendre, Guru Randhawa, Juhi Chawla, Anupam Kher, Preity Zinta, Akshay Kumar and Rajkummar Rao, participating in the occasion.
