Applications have begun for the Reliance Foundation Scholarship that started with the objective of preparing future technology developers in India. The Reliance Foundation will select 100 brilliant undergraduate and postgraduate students from India to join the generous grant awards and intimate development program and help them all, enriching their skills to innovate for the best social work. Reliance Foundation Scholars will be ready to be at the forefront of India’s technological development.
First-year undergraduate and postgraduate students from institutions across India running degree programs in Artificial Intelligence, Computer Science, Mathematics and Computing and Electrical and /or Electronics Engineering are eligible to apply. The Reliance Foundation will also prepare and support these brilliant scholars for an extraordinary holistic development program, including exchange of experts, business visits and volunteer opportunities. There is no entry fee to apply.
Through the Reliance Foundation Scholarship, up to 60 undergraduate students will receive up to 4 lakh rupees. While 40 postgraduate students will be given up to 6 lakh rupees will be awarded. This makes it one of the largest scholarship programs in award value aimed at preparing students for the best technology for social work through the Corporate Foundation. In addition, students will have valuable opportunities to interact with leading global experts and mentorship, internships, with a strong network of alumni.
In 2021, 76 first-year undergraduate and postgraduate students were awarded the first Reliance Foundation Scholarship in Artificial Intelligence (AI) and Computer Science. Reliance Foundation scholars enrol full-time in eligible degrees selected from 21 of the country’s top science and engineering institutes representing 14 states across India. This first group of scholars has participated in many professionally growing sessions with industry experts.
The Reliance Foundation Scholarship will select the brightest students in India through a rigorous and competitive selection process, including online application and interviews with a panel of leading Indian and international experts. Scholarships will be awarded on merit and applicants from all socio-economic backgrounds are encouraged to apply.
