Megastar Amitabh Bachchan has expressed his gratitude to a stranger for assisting him in avoiding traffic and arriving at his shooting location on time. On Sunday night, Bachchan, 80, posted a picture with the biker to his Instagram.
“Thank you for the ride buddy… Don’t know you… but you obliged and got me on time to location of work… faster and in avoidance of the unsolvable traffic jams… Thank you capped, shorts and yellowed T-shirt owner (sic),” he captioned the post.
The iconic actor, who is pictured in the image seated on the bike’s back seat and sporting white shoes, sunglasses and a casual bottom and corduroy jacket, is visible. His granddaughter Navya Naveli Nanda left a love and heart-eye emoji comment on the post.
On the post, Rohit Bose Roy wrote: “You are the coolest dude on earth Amit ji! Love you. Had always heard Mr Bachchan has always been the most punctual. Can see today what honouring Time truly means to you. I hope actors can learn a thing or two from this, said actor Sayani Gupta.”
While most of his peers and supporters applauded Bachchan for choosing to go by bike in order to arrive on time, some noted that neither the movie star nor the biker was wearing a helmet.
“Where is the helmet sir, a user commented. Another user wrote, “Sir, it is mandatory to wear a helmet. Just a cap won’t do.”
Ribhu Dasgupta’s “Section 84,” in which Bachchan stars, is now in production. He will also appear in the sci-fi film “Project K” directed by Nag Ashwin, which also stars Prabhas and Deepika Padukone.
