Rs 75 Coin To Mark New Parl Building, 75 Years Of Independence

To mark the opening of the new Parliament building on May 28, the Ministry of Finance will issue a commemorative Rs 75 coin. The celebratory coin will also honour India since it’s celebrating its 75th year of independence.

The Ashoka Pillar’s Lion Capital and the phrase “Satyamev Jayate” are both depicted on one side of the coin. On the left side, the word “Bharat” will be written in Devanagari script, while on the right, the term “India” will be written in English. The diameter of the Rs 75 coin has been specified, it will be 44 mm. The 35-gram coin will be made of a quaternary alloy with a composition of 50% silver, 40% copper, 5% nickel, and 5% zinc and will have 200 serrations along the edges, the year 2023 will be inscribed. On the other side of the coin the new parliament building will be inscribed and the words “Sansad Sankul” will be written in Devanagari script.
