Salman Khan and Alia Bhatt represented Bollywood at the Joy Awards, a prestigious event that celebrated the entertainment industry in Saudi Arabia on Saturday, January 20. The Indian stars were joined by some of the biggest names in Hollywood, such as Anthony Hopkins, Salma Hayek, Zack Snyder, John Cena, and Anthony Anderson.
Alia Bhatt was honoured with the Honorary Entertainment Makers Award at the ceremony, which was attended by Turki Alalshikh, the chairman of the country’s General Entertainment Authority and a key figure in its cultural transformation. Salman Khan shared a group photo from the event on his Instagram, tagging Alalshikh and receiving a lot of love from his fans. One fan commented, “Wow !! JOHN CENA AND SALMAN KHAN IN SAME FRAME ❤️,” while another fan praised, “@beingsalmankhan one of the greatest actors in cinema history. I feel proud to be in a world with Salman Khan in it ❤.”
Alia Bhatt also posted her photos and video from the event on her social media. She was seen posing with Anthony Hopkins, who later shared a picture with Salman Khan on his Instagram Story. The two-time Oscar winner, who received the Lifetime Achievement Award at the Joy Awards, wrote, “It was an honor to meet you @beingsalmankhan #JoyAwards #RiyadhSeason.” A video of Salman Khan and Anthony Hopkins greeting each other was also circulated on social media.
Meanwhile, Salman Khan is busy hosting the TV reality show, Bigg Boss 17. He was last seen in the film Tiger 3, and his upcoming film is The Bull, produced by Karan Johar’s Dharma Productions and directed by Vishnu Vardhan of Shershaah fame.
