Security Tightens For School Teachers’ Recruitment Exams In Rajasthan

| Updated: February 25, 2023 18:17

Rajasthan Staff Selection Board (RSSB) to conduct direct recruitment examinations for school teachers in 11 districts with heavy security coverage from Saturday.

The exams will take place in two shifts, from 9:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. and 3:00 p.m. to 5:30 p.m., until March 1, and will recruit teachers for both primary (level 1) and higher primary (level 2) schools. Most of the centres have been located in district headquarters to increase monitoring.

A total of 187 centres in Jaipur, including 68 government schools and 119 private educational institutes, will accommodate over 3 lakh aspirants who will write the exams. Officials have issued strict instructions to closely monitor all strongrooms and testing centres.

All strongrooms will be under CCTV surveillance, and 187 centre in-charges and approximately 56 paper coordinators in Jaipur will assist with examination security.

To prevent cheating, the board will employ over 300 invigilators to keep an eye on the students. Recently, the chief secretary (CS) held a meeting with all district SPs and collectors to ensure the security of the exam process. Police will monitor miscreants who may attempt to peddle stories of paper leaks or cheat during the exams, given past incidents.

Officials have emphasised that they will ensure that such miscreants do not mislead students.
