Shalby, a known name in knee replacement and multi-speciality hospitals launched a multi-purpose rehab centre here on Sunday,
The Shalby Institute of Rehabilitation Sciences will cater to various types of rehabilitation and its scientific processes and treatment, said Dr Niraj Vasavada, heading this project and who works as the head spine surgeon at the hospital.
From physical injuries rehab to depression, the centre will cover various facets of rehabilitation and aid patients in their post-recovery journeys.
This facility won’t only treat but will also focus on holistic healing of patients who find it difficult to get back to their normal routine & shape after spinal surgeries and He added that both patients with different types of diseases including mental health issues shall be treated here.
The rehab centre also houses a grief clinic, post-pregnancy clinic, obesity management programs, chronic pain management clinic and more.
Rahimu Mahamudu Mohamedi, a patient from Tanzania who was referred to this hospital by Tanzania’s insurance company gave his testimonial for the clinic adding that it was an inclusive healing place.
The centre will admit patients across disciplines that include physical surgeries, emotional trauma, need physiotherapy and psychotherapy. Dr Darshini V Shah was present at the launch ceremony.
