Gujarat Police Files Case Against Owners Of Shriji Bapa Builders In Bank Fraud Of 22.88 Crores

The couple, Pritiben Hareshbhai Thakkar and Haresh Naginbhai Thakkar, owners of Gujarat-based Shriji Bapa Buildcon Private Limited, defrauded banks with non-repayment of more than 20 crores of loan taken for the apartment building projects like the Floris-41 in Jodhpur & Anandnagar. Now, the residents are in trouble as the banks have alerted such apartments with legal notices concerning the loan repayment.

The Anandnagar police have initiated a criminal investigation against the owner couples, Pritiben Thakkar, Haresh Naginbhai Thakkar and executor Pradip Nagin Akhani. Police informed that the couple has been living in America for the past two years. 

One of the residents, Rajubhai Patel lives with his family in Floris-41 in the satellite area. In 2016, he booked flat number 303 for 30 lakh rupees. Then rupees 75 thousand was paid as society maintenance deposit when the flat was bought. Also, 50 thousand rupees were paid in advance for two years of monthly maintenance.

In 2022, the builder took a loan of 50.79 lakhs from Godrej Housing Finance Mortgage and a loan of 15 crores from DHFL Finance Company. As per the police investigation, in the name of Shriji Bapa Buildcon have a loan liability of 22.88 crores. 

Meanwhile, the residents of the flats met Pradipbhai, the executor of these apartment projects. He told the residents that there is no such outstanding loan dues. Even if there is any such outstanding loan then the company will clear it immediately.
