The details are as follows: As a sting operation, the NCB busted a rave party taking place aboard Cordelia Cruises’ Empress ship in Mumbai, on Saturday night, October 2. The cruise ship was departing for a three-day ‘musical voyage’ with people from Bollywood, and the fashion and business sectors. The NCB officials, led by zonal director Sameer Wankhede, boarded the ship disguised as passengers. The rave party began when the cruise reached mid-sea. The raid was conducted following a tip-off that banned drugs were being used. Suspects detained for questioning related to this case would be arrested later for recording their statement, according to sources.

Wankhede stated that Aryan Khan had not been booked under any charges so far. Other than Aryan, Arbaaz Merchant, Munmun Dhamecha, Nupur Sarika, Ismeet Singh, Mohak Jaswal, Vikrant Chhoker and Gomit Chopra are being questioned as well.

NCB sources said Khan’s telephone has been seized and is being examined by officials to check for any sign of his possession or consumption of drugs.  The Narcotics Bureau is investigating the chats received on the phones that have been seized from the drug bust.

The NCB has also summoned six of the coordinators who hosted the cruise party. Kashiff Khan, managing director of FTV India and the organizer of the event. is also under the agency’s scanner. Two young ladies who joined the party from Delhi were also detained and are being questioned. The girls are allegedly daughters of a prominent businessman.

Statement of NCB On recovery of drugs:

A team has been allotted the task to catch the dealers who provided drugs for this party.  A dealer named Gopal Anand became visible during the cross-examination of the individuals who were detained. The NCB is additionally searching for him as he played a significant part in organizing the cruise party.

The Director-General (DG) of NCB said detailed data regarding this episode would be sent to the Shipping Corporation of India and the shipping ministry. “We had received confidential information 15 days ago about the drugs party on the ship, after which we carried out this operation. We have got evidence against those who have been detained. People who organized this party will have to face an inquiry; they cannot escape the investigation,” added the DG.

During the operation, various drugs like MDMA/ecstasy, cocaine, MD (mephedrone) and charas were recovered. A total of eight persons, including two females, have been apprehended and their role is being investigated concerning the said recovery.

Jurgen Bailom, president and CEO of Cordelia Cruises, affirmed that the Narcotics office discovered drugs in certain travelers’ luggage. “These travelers were off-stacked by Cordelia right away. The cruising of the voyage got postponed,” he said.

The event was named CrayArk, and a document was circulated by the event managers had a ‘no drugs or illegal substances’ section. The coordinators of the event had guaranteed musical renditions by Miami-based DJ Stan Kolev alongside renowned DJ’s Bullzeye, Browncoat and Deepesh Sharma.

“I would allow my son to have drugs, sex; he can also womanise”

Meanwhile, an old clip of SRK’s interview with Simi Garewal from 1997 has popped up on social media platforms. Twitter user Priya Kulkarni shared the clip where SRK was heard saying, “I have just told him that he can run after girls. Smoke as much as he wants. He can do drugs, can have sex. He can womanize.” Notably, it was a light-hearted interview with Simi where SRK and his wife Gauri Khan were telling Simi how their son Aryan was closer to SRK and how he would spoil his son in the future.

Khan was responding to a question on how he would spoil his son, who was just a few months old then. After he makes the statements, Garewal then asks him, “When he is three?”. To that Gauri laughs and says yes, when he is three. Shah Rukh Khan then jokingly adds that he (Aryan) should do everything he has not done.
