The AIMIM’s Waris Pathan has tweeted that stones were pelted on the Vande Bharat Express train that was on its way to Ahmedabad with party chief Asaduddin Owaisi on board. Pathan shared the images of the damaged glass panes. He said that two stones were hurled at the coach in which Owaisi was travelling along with other leaders of the party. Sabir Kabliwala, the party’s Gujarat state president, was also on board.

The incident took place about 25 km from Surat. In February, gunshots were fired at the car carrying Owaisi in Uttar Pradesh. Reacting to the incident, Owaisi said, “You can pelt stones or rain fires, but our voice for our rights will never stop.”
