Surat: CM Patel’s Security Nabs Person With Gun During Har Ghar Tiranga Launch

While Chief Minister Bhupendra Patel was leading the Har Ghar Tiranga programme in Surat, a security scare had the guards scrambling. During the event, a young man successfully slipped past the guards and entered the venue armed with a gun. Fortunately, CM Patel’s bodyguards apprehended the youth before he could go too far. The youth was handed over to the police who detained him.

The Umra police interrogated the young man, Mahesh Devani, and discovered that he was related to MLA VD Jhalawadia. The police then filed a case against Devani and released him. the police will be investigating the matter thoroughly.

CM Patel participated in the ‘padayatra’ in Surat, which was organized by the city’s Municipal Corporation to celebrate the Centre’s Har Ghar Tiranga campaign. This campaign has been initiated by the Centre to mark 75 years of India’s Independence, the ‘Azadi ka Amrit Mahotsav’.

Under the Har Ghar Tiranga campaign, from August 13 to August 15, people across the country are expected to hoist the national flag of India at their houses and workplaces. Reportedly, more than 20 crore houses or more than 100 crore people are likely to participate in this campaign.
