INSSAN – NIC (Indian National Suggestion Scheme Association – Northern India Chapter) organised the 23rd All India Creativity Summit on 7th & 8th July 2022 at Scope Convention Center, New Delhi. In the event, two case studies on Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel International Airport grabbed the first prize.

Security Initiative

SVPI airport, dedicated to providing passengers with high safety standards, always introduces new improvements and initiatives. The security automation and capacity enhancement initiatives bagged the first prize.

Praveen Gunwant, a security team member, changed the layout of the security hold area. Thus, it increased the number of X-ray scanning machines from 6 to 8 in the limited space. Moreover, it enhanced the bag screening output by 33%. It also reduced the wait time during peak movement.

Pier Conveyor Belt Installation

The jury applauded the initiative to introduce a Pier Conveyor Belt without adding any infrastructure at the SVPI airport. The Belt’s objective is to provide the utmost comfort and best customer experience to every traveller.

Lokeshwar Rao represented the engineering project at the competition. It would enhance the baggage delivery process for domestic arriving passengers. It would also contribute to helping the airport to handle more flits in a short window. Further, it would help in the energy efficiency of airport resources.

More than 500 delegates participated from all across the country from companies, and they all presented more than 250 cases in total.
