The Nita Mukesh Ambani Cultural Centre(NMACC) in Mumbai is thrilled to announce the debut of the internationally renowned Broadway musical ‘The Sound of Music’ in India. Produced and managed by Broadway International Group, the classic show is a 5-time Tony Award winner and has been loved by audiences for generations. The musical marks a historic moment as it is the first-ever international Broadway show to be presented in India.

Set in Austria during the 1930s, the production celebrates the triumph of the human spirit through music, romance, and happiness over conflict. It features 26 iconic songs, including ‘My Favorite Things’, ‘Do Re Mi’, ‘The Hills Are Alive’ and ‘Sixteen Going on Seventeen’. Simone Genatt and Marc Routh serve as Executive Producers, with Eric Cornell as General Manager.

Founder & Chairperson Mrs Nita M Ambani expressed her delight in presenting ‘The Sound of Music’ at the Cultural Centre, saying, “We showcased the best of India in ‘The Great Indian Musical,’ and now we are thrilled to bring one of the most loved international musicals of all time to India.” She added, “I have always believed art spreads hope and happiness. The Sound of Music is a joyful and timeless classic. I hope the people of Mumbai and India enjoy it with their families and children.”
