The state is witnessing a sudden increase in number of Covid cases and this time, more and more number of students are testing Covid positive.
Three more school students have tested Covid positive on Wednesday – two students are from Udgam School For Children while one from Zebar School For Children. The students were from class 5 and class 8 respectively in Udgam and a student from class 10, Zebar.
One of the students tested positive from Udgam had travel history. He went to Nasik and had participated in a sports event and attended the school on December 27 after which he had complained of discomfort. His parents were informed immediately then after. He took a test later that day and had tested positive.
The school management immediately informed the DEO about the situation and has switched to online classes for the remaining students.
