A sexagenarian from the Paldi area of the city, booked a complaint with the police stating that three men seized Rs 2.50 lakh cash from him, which he had gotten from a courier firm in Navrangpura.
Kishor Shah, who lives in Srushti Apartment in Paldi, works as a channel manager facilitator with the zonal office of the SBI in Ambawadi. He revealed that his friend Pankaj Joshi, who also lives in Paldi, asked him to receive Rs 2.50 lakh from HM Angadia firm in Iscon Arcade on CG Road in Navrangpura.
Driven by his friend’s persuasion, Kishor had gone to the angadia firm on July 27 and received the money. After getting the money, he went ahead to Bodyline Crossroads, and then took his scooter towards Parimal Underpass. After that, he went to Subidha Crossroads where a motorcycle-born man began chasing and shouting at him. The man began to accuse him of hitting his motorcycle with his scooter.
Shah then parked his scooter on the road, to go talk to him. While he was doing this, two other men on another motorcycle came and started checking Shah’s scooter.
Shah said that the two further took the bag containing money from his scooter and drove away, despite his attempts to stop them. In the midst of all this, Shah faced injuries as well.
He approached the police on Saturday and filed a complaint of robbery and abetment against the three persons.
