With more cases of land sharks grabbing land parcels by unfair means being reported at regular intervals, one such case has come to light near GIFT City in Gandhinagar.
A case has been filed against a builder, Ashok Madhavlal Patel and his accomplices, for allegedly grabbing 9,332 square metres of land in Ratanpur village in Gandhinagar district.
The builder had signed a sale deed with two sisters, Muliben and Champaben, to purchase a part of their land parcel bearing survey number 471. However, Patel went back on his assurance and did not pay a single penny to them.
Both sisters have registered an FIR against the builder at Dabhoda Police Station after their civil suit in a Gandhinagar court to secure possession of the said land parcel and to declare the sale deed null and void. They have also registered a complaint with the Gandhinagar Collector under various sections of the Land Grabbing Act.
In the following video of the builder Ashok Madhavlal Patel’s ally Naresh Vaghela (Pappu), he can be clearly seen threatening the owner of the land.
