Unseasonal Rain To Persist In Gujarat

The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has predicted the possibility of unseasonal rain in Gujarat on April 30 (Sunday), May 1 and 2, as well as throughout the remainder of the week.

The IMD bulletin reports that there is a chance of “light rain at isolated places in the districts namely Ahmedabad, Banaskantha, Gandhinagar, Mehsana, Patan, Sabarkantha, Dangs, Tapi, Amreli, Dwarka, Gir Somnath, Jamnagar, Junagadh, Porbandar, Rajkot, Surendranagar, and Kutch” on April 28.

It’s possible that on April 29 there will be “light to moderate rain at isolated places in all the districts of North Gujarat region, in all the districts of South Gujarat region; in the districts of Amreli, Jamnagar, Junagadh, Morbi, Porbandar, Rajkot, Surendranagar, Kutch, and in Daman and Dadra Nagar Haveli.”

There may be “light to moderate rain at isolated places in the districts of Gujarat region, namely Ahmedabad, Anand, Gandhinagar, Kheda, Vadodara Bharuch, Dangs, Surat, and Tapi; in the districts of Saurashtra-Kutch, namely Jamnagar, Junagadh, Porbandar, Rajkot, and Kutch.” on April 30.

There is a chance of “light to moderate rain at isolated places in Gujarat region, namely Ahmedabad, Aravalli, Sabarkantha, Dangs, and Tapi; in the districts of Saurashtra-Kutch, namely Amreli, Bhavnagar, Botad, Rajkot, and Kutch.” on May 1.

On May 2, there is a probability of “light rain/thundershowers at isolated places in the Gujarat region, namely Banaskantha, Mehsana, Patan, Sabarkantha, Bharuch, and Surat; in the Saurashtra-Kutch districts, namely Amreli, Bhavnagar, Rajkot, and Kutch.”
