With actor and Big Boss 13 winner Siddharth Shukla’s untimely death on Thursday morning, fans, family and friends of Shukla were left in a state of shock and teary-eyed. At age 40, suffering a massive cardiac arrest shows how fragile our lives could be.

Padma Shree recipient and one of the best cardiologists in the country, Dr Tejas Patel said that suffering a heart attack or death by heart attack during his younger days, was considered abnormal. “In the 90s, the paradigm shifted to the age group of 50-60 years and one decade later, it was a general phenomenon, of cardiac patients in their age 40-50. Since then, it has been a steady decline in the age group of patients,” said Dr Patel.

Dr Patel pointed on the harsh reality that all of us are currently living in and other probable causes of cardiac arrest leading to untimely deaths.
