Gujarat BJP on Monday suspended party worker from Bhavnagar Vaibhav Joshi after his video had gone viral. In a viral video he is heard claiming that he paid an amount to the tune of Rs.3,50,000 to the government officials for leaking the question papers and collected Rs.50,000 from each candidate to help them pass through the exams successfully. He claims that Rs. 18 lakhs were collected in total.

Vaibhav was the District Coordinator of the Booth Management Cell and was also the former Mantri of Bhavnagar District Youth BJP.

It has been claimed in the video that Rs. 2,00,000 were given to an education department official and Rs. 1,50,0000 were given to an official in the municipal corporation. Seven teachers who were to solve the paper were paid Rs.5,000 per question. The video claims that the malpractice happened on a massive scale.

Vaibhav Joshi has denied the allegations and claimed that the allegations are baseless. He claims to not have taken money from anyone. Vibhav Joshi claimed that it is a case of personal vendetta against him by one Nikunj Rathod and his father Maheshbhai. Vaibhav Joshi said that he had registered a complaint against the duo regarding a returned cheque amounting to Rs. 52 lakhs.

Vaibhav Joshi, however, admits that this video is five years old and on the other hand also says that this video is false and edited. It is clear in the video that Vaibhav Joshi is speaking himself. He is saying how many rupees he gave to whom.
