High profile celebrity interviews can lead the interviewer to cold feet and sometimes, inadvertent mistakes. However, it takes an unassuming persona to put the questioner in comfort mode and let the session play out as a freewheeling chat rather than a stiff conversation. Virat Kohli surely brackets himself in the latter count.
On Wednesday morning, Virat’s IPL team, Royal Challengers Bangalore, released an interview on social media. “Best Interview of the Year! Catch Virat Kohli in a comfortable, honest, and pleasant avatar, even as Mr Nags tries to bother him as he has for years!” read the catch line.
Virat spoke with comedian Danish Sait, who was dressed as Nags, a persona invented by RCB to interview its players and support personnel.

His laid-back avatar appears to have impressed Anushka, who re-posted it on Instagram Stories. “If you can’t laugh at yourself, you might be missing the enormous joke of the century,” she added beneath. She immediately followed it up with a heart emoji.
