The movie ‘83’, based on India’s first victory in the World Cup that was released today has been going viral on social media for all the wrong reasons. Many people have called for boycotting the film on Twitter. #Boycott83 along with #BoycottBollywood are trending on Twitter. However, the demand for boycotting the film is based on various reasons and not on one specific reason.
For supporting anti-CAA protests
At the beginning of 2020, during the protests against CAA, Deepika went to JNU to support the protests which led to a huge part of the public being against her. The people are still holding that against Deepika. This chunk of people wants the others to not watch the movie because of the stand she took. A similar situation arose when her movie, ‘Chhapaak’ was being released.
Accused of poking fun at Sushant
Some Twitter users are seen talking about making this movie the biggest flop yet. Some Sushant fans alleged that in one of his adverts, Ranveer made fun of Sushant. This has led to a lot of anger amongst the fans of the beloved actor.
Accused to be on drugs
The couple has been accused of being on drugs. One user said, ‘Remember, if you spend your money here, then these losers will use it again to buy drugs.’
Accused of being involved with ISI agents
Many other users have accused the duo of partying with ISI and Pakistani agents. One user tweeted, “#RanveerSingh & #DeepikaPadukone partied with PAKISTANI agents entire life and now begging views in DUBAI before the release of #83Movie Boycott such ANTI NATIONALs #Boycott83 #BoycottBollywood”
Some also accuse Kabir Khan of exaggerating the Mughal era in his previous movies and are calling for boycotting the movie.

The hindi movie belt is finally awakening at the anti-national activities of Hindi film industry. The hindi film producers, directors, actors, actresses will be beggars without the paying public. Just watch Priyanka’s 4 minute role in recent rekease matrix, or Amitabh’s 3 minute role as a ” black” pimp in that Leonardo DIARIO movie released a couple of years ago. Publuc should not buy any ricket for anti Hindu/anti India movie people and also boycott any brand that uses them. Thats all that needs to happen.
