Yoga Influencers From the Indian Diaspora Who Have Made It Big

International Yoga Day is being celebrated all over the world. It has been celebrated on 21st June every year since 2015 and this idea was first introduced by Prime Minister Narendra Modi in his 2014 speech at the United Nations.

Let’s look at some of the Yoga influencers from the Indian diaspora who’ve made it big.

Puravi Joshi:

Puravi Joshi teaches “vinyasa, mandala, rocket, yin, and trauma-informed yoga,” according to her website, and is “passionate about making the practise accessible and exciting.”

She is a qualified yoga, breathwork, and meditation instructor with over 500 hours of experience based in London.

Tejal Patel:

Tejal Patel, who used to teach Yoga at Battery Park in Manhattan before the pandemic-related closure in March 2020, currently teaches on her website “Tejal Yoga.” She teaches online through Zoom and broadcasts the podcast “Yoga Is Dead.”

She has around 26,000 Instagram followers (@tejalyoga)

Misha Patel:

Misha Patel is a London-based yoga instructor.

Her aim, according to her website, “is to create a safe and playful environment for each student to unlock their full potential.”

Yash Moradiya:

The world record for holding the longest upside-down scorpion was broken by Yash Moradiya, an Indian yoga instructor residing in Dubai.

He broke the previous record of four minutes and 47 seconds by holding the position for 29 minutes and four seconds.

David Ramacharran:

David Ramacharran is a Yoga instructor and a certified advanced Thai Massage Therapist who has been focusing on educating others about the benefits of Yoga since 2015.

He completed his first 200-hour teacher training in 2015 at the Sivananda Ashram in Kerala, India.

Ramacharran has also completed an 800-hour dharma training programme that includes advanced asana, psychic development, and nidra.
