The Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister said that the public has left Priyanka worthy of just cleaning floors, in an interview on Friday. The statement was in reference to General Secretary of Congress, Priyanka Gandhi Vadra’s act of sweeping the guest house in Sitapur, Uttar Pradesh – where she was detained en route Lakhimpur Kheri.
Following the statement by UP CM, Priyanka reached a Valmiki temple in a Dalit colony here and cleaned its floors with a broom. She said that Yogi Adityanath’s statement was humiliation of crores of women, Dalits and Safai Karmachaaris and not of her. “He has not humiliated me by saying so, he has humiliated you all as crores of Dalit brothers and sisters are safai karamcharis and those who do this work.”
Meanwhile, Congress will be holding a rally on Sunday, October 10, demanding three points. These points include the resignation from Ajay Mishra as Union MoS, the arrest of the accused of the Lakhimpur Kheri violence case and withdrawal of the farm laws. Named as ‘Kisan Nyay Rally’, the rally is seen as the launch of Congress’ 2022 UP election campaign. Priyanka Gandhi Vadra will address it.
