| Updated: June 5, 2022 11:05

Prime Minister Narendra Modi is expected to flaunt a rally of strength in Vadodra on June 18. The political stage is being set to garner vote base ahead of the crucial Assembly elections slated later this year.

The day will see Gujarat BJP president C.R. Patil helm events. To begin with, Patil will be in city on June 18 for a mass wedding of the physically challenged. Organised by Sainath Education Trust, the social event will solemnise the wedding of 54 differently abled couples. His message to the locality to get into wedding mode is clear: Mohalla Sajavjo, Rangoli Banavjo, Jhanda Lagavjo.

“Mass weddings are the need of the hour. We wish the young couples all the very best and hope such noble efforts come up often. This Samul Lagnastav is unique in that it has opened a new chapter in the lives of 108 (54 couples) persons. Not often do we hear of such event for the physically challenged,” Patil shared with mediapersons.

Thereon, follows the 5.4 km road show from the airport to Ansuya Leprosy Ground. The ground preparations are being put in place to accommodate a 5 lakh-strong turnout in the BJP’s show of strength.
