Rajasthan Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot will now table the state budget on February 10. Given that the state is anticipated to hold elections by the end of 2023, this will be the final budget of the current government.
Gehlot will respond to the Budget discussion on February 16. The Chief Minister had earlier announced the presentation of the Budget on February 8. At the Legislative Assembly’s Business Advisory Committee meeting, the date was altered, though.
The Business Advisory Committee has determined that the house’s schedule would run from February 10 to February 16. From February 3 through February 9, the Legislative Assembly would be closed. The decision was reached during a meeting presided over by Dr CP Joshi.
After delivering the budget on February 10, Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot will also address the media. At a press conference, leaders of the ruling party and the opposition will discuss the budget.
The House will not be in session on February 11 or 12. The leaders will meet once again from February 13–15 to discuss the budget. The forthcoming Budget will put a special emphasis on women and the youth, according to Gehlot, who also holds the financial responsibility.
This will be Gehlot’s fifth and last budget during his current term.
