A 21-year-old acquaintance of a 17-year-old minor girl slit her throat with a paper cutter after she spurned his advances. The incident took place in Amrapur village on Friday. She was admitted to the Gandhinagar Civil Hospital in a critical state.
Senior Congress leaders visited the family of the victim on Monday. After meeting the family Gujarat Congress State President, Jagdish Thakor addressed the media. He said that criminals are roaming free without fear because the government choose to remain silent against issues on law and order.
He added that the family members are shattered by this incident, they are afraid. The victim’s sister refuses to attend school further and had taken an oath that she won’t eat until the culprit will be punished.
