A Heart Attack Unites Divorced Couple

| Updated: December 4, 2023 21:09

A couple, who had divorced in 2018, came back together after five years of separation, but not before the man suffered a heart attack in August this year.

The couple, Vinay Jaiswal and Pooja Chaudhary, from Ghaziabad’s Kaushambi had divorced in 2018, ending their six-year-old marriage.

Insiders said there were differences cropping up between the two within a year of their marriage. As things escalated, they finally decided to file for a divorce.

Their divorce case went through three courts – the family court in Ghaziabad, a high court and finally the Supreme Court. After a long drawn-out legal battle which lasted five years, Vinay and Pooja finally separated in 2018.

In August this year, Vinay suffered a heart attack and had to undergo an open heart surgery. When the news of his surgery reached Pooja, she became anxious to know the well-being of her ex-husband and went straight to the hospital to meet him.

As the two spent time together, the love between them rekindled and they decided to put aside their differences to marry again.

On November 23, Vinay and Pooja got married again in the presence of each other’s family. The wedding ceremony was held in an Arya Samaj temple in Ghaziabad’s Kavi Nagar.

Vinay Jaiswal works as an assistant general manager at Steel Authority of India Limited (SAIL) while Pooja Chaudhary, originally a resident of Patna, used to work as a teacher.
