| Updated: December 15, 2023 19:34

As the auspicious date for Ram Temple’s consecration in Ayodhya draws closer, a new chapter in travel convenience has begun for devotees in Gujarat. Aviation company Indigo has announced direct flights from Ahmedabad to Ayodhya, making the journey to the sacred city a breeze.

Starting January 11th, these flights will connect Ahmedabad with the newly inaugurated Maryada Purushottam Shri Ram International Airport, shaving off precious time for pilgrims. No more laborious detours via Lucknow; reach Ayodhya in just 1 hour and 50 minutes!

Initially operating three days a week (Tuesday, Thursday, and Saturday), these flights will depart from Ahmedabad’s Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel Airport at 9:10 am and arrive in Ayodhya at 11:30 am. With estimated fares around Rs. 4,000, the service promises to be both convenient and accessible.

This launch holds immense significance for Gujarat, a state with a deep historical and emotional connection to the Ram Mandir movement. Many remember the iconic Rath Yatra that began in Somnath, solidifying the state’s unwavering support for the temple’s construction.

With direct flights from Ahmedabad, countless devotees can now easily plan their pilgrimage to witness the historic consecration ceremony on January 22nd. This new route promises to bridge the physical and spiritual distance between Gujarat and Ayodhya, fostering a renewed sense of devotion and unity.

So, pack your bags, book your tickets, and prepare for a smooth, spiritual journey to Ayodhya. With Indigo’s wings, the Ram Mandir is now closer than ever.
