On Saturday, a mysterious looking ball-like object was discovered in a field in Poicha Kanoda village of Savli taluka, Vadodara district, having allegedly fallen from the sky. In the last week alone, there have been slew of incidents in Gujarat where such mysterious objects have been found is various villages.
Rajendra Singh Vaghela, a farmer from Poicha Kanoda village, was walking in his field in the evening when he saw the mysterious ball, which scared and baffled him. As news spread rapidly, villagers gathered at the spot to take a look at the object. The farmer reported the incident to the sarpanch and informed the police. A police team reached the spot and after investigation took the object to the police station.
Similar incident happened in Anand district, when on Thursday a large, black metal ball weighing around five kg fell from the sky in Bhalej at around 4:45 pm. Khambholaj and Rampura also reported similar incidents. These villagers are within a radius of 15 km. The district police contacted the Forensic Science Laboratory (FSL) experts to initiate the investigation.
It was suspected that the ball-like objects are was satellite debris.
