Delhi Chief Minister and Aam Aadmi Party convener Arvind Kejriwal will be in Gujarat for a two-day visit on August 6 and 7. During his visit, Kejriwal is expected to address traders of Jamnagar at Townhall. Later on, he will hold a public rally in Chhota Udaipur and make some noteworthy announcements.

All parties are anxious about the upcoming Assembly elections in Gujarat. Bharatiya Janata Party has pulled up its socks and is aiming for a historical win, AAP and Congress are tough competitors. Although AAP has only started its campaigns in the state, it is rapidly gaining support from different parts of the state. With an impressive campaign, AAP is gaining significant momentum for the elections.

Until now, Arvind Kejriwal himself has made numerous trips to the poll-bound state. In fact, his trip later this week, will be his second visit to the state just in August. On August 1, Kejriwal visited Veraval in Saurashtra and addressed a public rally that was attended by a huge number of people.

As for election issues, AAP has, so far, focused on growing unemployment and corruption. Party has said that if it forms the government in Gujarat, it would carefully plan a system where every unemployed person will be given a job. Until then, the party’s government will give an unemployment allowance of Rs3000 per month to every person who doesn’t have a job. As for corruption, the party has said that it will bring in laws that will put a stop to bribery in the cooperative sector.
