Two multistore towers will be constructed on land purchased by Bollywood megastar Amitabh Bachchan near Gujarat International Finance Tech (Gift) City in Gandhinagar. Gujarat State Government has approved the construction permit of the twin luxury residential towers. The land, 23,619 square meters, worth Rs 7 crores was bought by Amitabh Bachchan at Shahpur in Gift City.
Located on the river bank, the plot will appreciate in value once the state government’ metro rail project has a station at the riverfront site. At the time of purchase, Mr Bachchan registered the land as a “non-agricultural plot” with the intention of building a high-end hotel. It is to be noted that the current market price of this land is around 70 crores. During the purchase of this land at Gift City, the actor was the brand ambassador of Gujarat Tourism Corporation’s Khushbu Gujarat Ki campaign.
