A shocking piece of news emerged from West Bengal just a few days after the political situation changed in the region. The shocking incident is related to a deadly late-night gunfire attack in which Suvendu Adhikari’s PA was shot dead. The news has shocked everyone in the region, where not only has a murder case emerged, but political tension is also rising as the BJP has now accused the TMC of carrying out the attack. They said that the TMC is unable to accept defeat, and thus they have taken such steps.
As per media reports, the attackers fired four rounds at Suvendu Adhikari’s PA, due to which Chandranath Rath was found dead on the spot near Madhyamgram, West Bengal. As per information, he had been working for Suvendu Adhikari for the last 10 to 12 years. Even during the recent election process, he had taken major responsibility for the work.
Reports suggest that when the attack was carried out, Chandranath was in a Scorpio car, while the attackers arrived on a bike and started open firing. As per the images found, the bike had no number plate on it.
West Bengal BJP leader Suvendu Adhikari described the incident as shocking and alleged that it was a pre-planned attack. He claimed that the attackers must have first carried out reconnaissance of the place, and with accurate planning, they carried out the murder. Along with that, he said, “We will wipe the goons out for sure.”
On this matter, DGP Sidhnath Gupta said that the investigation has started. As per the information shared by him, the bike used in the attack has been seized by the police. The attackers had allegedly tampered with the bike’s number plate, and the number found belongs to Siliguri but is fake. He also said, “We have seized some empty cartridges and live cartridges from the scene.”
The opposition party, All India Trinamool Congress, also shared a post in which they said that they strongly condemn the brutal murder of Chandranath Rath. They also demanded a strong investigation into the case, including a court-monitored CBI investigation, so that those responsible are identified and brought to justice without delay.
So, after this incident, BJP leaders have openly accused the TMC of carrying out the attack, while the TMC has also shared a condemnation post denying all the accusations, which suggests that political pressure is surely set to rise in the coming days in West Bengal.
