BSE Continues Positive Momentum, Gains 385 Points

After recovering 1100 points in the last two days, the market gained 385 points on Thursday.

The BSE closed at 57,315.28 up 0.68 percent and NSE closed at 17,072.60 up 117.15 points.

Medplus Health Services Ltd had a stellar listing, the stock closed 40.81 percent up from its listed price of Rs 796 to Rs 1120.85.

On Thursday, the market witnessed 2,194 BSE stocks ending in green, whereas 1,122 stocks ended in red and 133 remained unchanged. A total of 268 stocks ended 52 weeks high and 545 stocks hit the upper circuit.  

Top companies with the gains were Power Grid Corporation of India, ITC, Bajaj Finance, Infosys, NTPC and Tech Mahindra.

Stock Markets in Shanghai, Hong Kong, Tokyo and Seoul all ended in the green.

GTL Infrastructure was the most traded company with a volume of 6,84,64,292.
