Cannes 2022: A.R. Rahman Unveils Poster of Sandeep Singh’s ‘Safed’

The poster for Sandeep Singh’s directorial debut SAFED was unveiled at the 75th Cannes Film Festival. A.R. Rahman, the legendary music maestro and Academy Award Winner, unveiled the poster on May 21st at Hotel Le Majestic in Cannes.

Lead actors Abhay Verma and Meera Chopra attended the poster launch, as did writer-director Sandeep Singh, producer Vinod Bhanushali, and co-producers Vishal Gurnani and Juhi Parekh Mehta.
A film about the rarely seen but real truth about society.

A.R. Rahman said at the launch, “I saw the teaser and it’s very intriguing, colourful, and important.”

“It’s an honour that the world-renowned music composer, A.R. Rahman, has blessed us by launching my directorial debut’s first look during the 75th Film Festival at Cannes,” Sandeep Singh said. It’s a fantasy come true.”

“Every actor’s ambition is to have a debut film that goes to Cannes,” said lead actor Abhay Verma, “and I feel blessed and privileged to be living it.” Sandeep Singh’s trust and faith in me made this journey truly unforgettable. I’m still pinching myself because I was featured on a poster created by our nation’s pride, A.R. Rahman.”
