The CEO of HyperSocial, Braden Wallake has become the talk of the town. It all began when he posted a picture of himself crying after he had to lay off his employees. He posted the picture along with a lengthy post in which he claimed that not all CEOs are cold hearted, some like him, actually care for his employees. He also said that he had fired his employees as the company had stopped selling their main services and started to focus on a new service. He called the sharing of the post “the most vulnerable thing he would ever share.”
He further added in his post,” I know it isn’t professional to tell my employees that I love them. But from the bottom of my heart, I hope they know how much I do. Every single one. Every single story. Every single thing that makes them smile and every single thing that makes them cry. Their families. Their friends. Their hobbies.” Netizens had mixed reactions towards the post. Some called it a sign of emotional intelligence, others thought it was narcissistic of him to think about himself when the employees were laid off. In one of the comments, Braden also said that he would tag the employees he laid off and will help connect them with other job opportunities.
