City Celebrates World Theatre Day

Noted curators in Ahmedabad are all set to give theatre lovers a memorable treat of these plays on World Theatre Day tomorrow. The day highlights the importance of theatrical arts in the area of entertainment and the contribution of theatre in enriching the lives of people. From the time of the Greeks, the theatre has been one of the most popular forms of entertainment. Theatre plays are not only discussions with artists but also conversations with the audience.  

1.)Prayogshala Fringe Theatre Festival 1.0

4 theatre plays by 4 different theatre groups from different parts of the country at one venue, Prayogshala! To celebrate theatre together. MARK THE DATES! Let’s Celebrate Theatre Together! The curators bring to you four plays namely, 

Darogaji Chori Ho Gai (Universal Theatre Academy, Jaipur)

Sochne Mei Kya Jaata Hai? (Valay Natyasanstha, Pune)

The Marriage Proposal (Dramaturgy Theatre, Delhi)

Sann 2025 (StepCo Theatre, Nahan, Himachal Pradesh)

When: 27th March, 11 am to 10:30 pm

Where: Prayogshala, Ashram Road

Price: Rs 250 for each show

2.) Prayogshala Fringe Theatre Festival 1.0 (Monologues)

Mix Tape Monologues, an amalgamation of four monologues by Anticlock Theatre Company:

Udaan (by Nishma Soni)

Marriageable (by Jaini Shah)

Lock Up (by Pratik Rathod)

A Letter To My Ex (Ankit Gor)

3.) Theatre Direction by Prashant Tarun Jadav

A perfect session to enhance your knowledge about the theatre, art and expression. Learn from the best this World Theatre Day. The main aim is to teach the amateurs about the theatre direction, composition, movement and many more theatre essentials.
