India has recorded 12,193 new cases of COVID-19 in the last 24 hours, bringing the total number of active cases up to 67,556, according to the Union Health Ministry on Saturday.
According to the ministry’s data updated at 8 am, the number of people who have died due to the viral disease has increased to 5,31,300 with 42 more fatalities, including 10 stated by Kerala.
The total number of Covid cases was 4,48,81,877. The national COVID-19 recovery rate was recorded at 98.66%, according to the health ministry website, while the active cases make up 0.15 per cent of the total caseload.
The total number of patients who have recovered from the disease has increased to 4,42,83,021, and the case fatality rate was recorded at 1.18 per cent.
The ministry’s website reports that 220.66 crore doses of the anti-Covid vaccines have been administered to the nation’s citizens.
