First President Sukarno’s 70-year-old daughter Converts To Hinduism In Muslim-majority Indonesia

Sukmawati converted to Hinduism on Tuesday during a program called “Sudhi Wadani” at the Sukarno Heritage Center in Bale Agung Singaraja district in Bali, Indonesia’s most populous Hindu region. Sukarno’s third daughter Sukmavati’s full name is Dayah Mutiyara Sukmavati Sukarnoputri.

Sukmavati has  vast knowledge of Hinduism. Sukmavati is the younger sister of the country’s 5th President Meghavati Sukarnoputri and the founder of the Indonesian National Party (PNI). She was married to Kanjeng Gusti Pangeran Adipati Arya Mangkunegra IX but divorced in 1984 and began her political career.
