ED Summons Sena MP Sanjay Raut For Questioning

Shiv Sena’s Rajya Sabha MP Sanjay Raut has been summoned by the Enforcement Directorate (ED) in Mumbai for questioning tomorrow in an alleged money laundering case. The summons were issued to Raut in connection with the Patra Chawl land scam case, in which the ED attached his properties in April.

Raut, a Rajya Sabha member, responded by claiming that “this is a plot to stop me.” According to Team Thackeray, the mutiny led by Eknath Shinde is the result of “pressure from the ED, CBI, and other agencies” under the BJP-led central government. Raut added in his tweet that he “won’t take the Guwahati route,” referring to the rebels camped out in the capital of BJP-ruled Assam.

He said in a tweet that: “I just came to know that the ED has summoned me. Good ! There are big political developments in Maharashtra. We, Balasaheb’s Shivsainiks are fighting a big battle. This is a conspiracy to stop me. Even if you behead me, I won’t take the Guwahati route. Arrest me ! Jai Hind!”
