British actress Emma Watson has voiced her opinion in favour of Pro Palestinian Activism on social media for which she has received satirical comments from current and former Israeli officials besides pro Palestine social media users.
The actress played Hermoine Granger in the Harry Potter movie series had reposted a May post from the Bad Activist Collective on her Instagram handle on Sunday. The photo said ‘Solidarity is a verb.’
Gilad Erdan, Israel’s UN Envoy strongly criticised her post and commented on it through his twitter account, saying ‘Fiction may work in Harry Potter but it does not work in reality. If it did, the magic used in the wizarding world could eliminate the evils of Hamas (which oppresses women & seeks the annihilation of Israel) and the PA (which supports terror). I would be in favor of that!’.
Later Danny Danon, another Israeli Ambassador also joined in by accusing Emma of being an ‘antisemite.’
