What are rights?

The dictionary meaning of rights is, ‘a moral or legal entitlement to have or do something. According to me, rights are something that a person/object can do and has the authority and the power to take actions.

What is equality?

The purpose of having equality is no one discriminates against people and everyone is together as one big community. The dictionary meaning of equality is ‘the state of being equal; correspondence in quantity, degree, value, rank, or ability. This meaning clearly states that we all have to be together and support each other.

When I hear the quote “When God created us, he created us all equally smart and all equally dumb,” by Albert Einstein, I think of the word equality.

What is happening in the world?

The women in this world are not that happy as they are not getting enough responsibilities and opportunities just because of their gender. Women work harder and yet don’t receive their due credit.

As seen in the video, the women did not get enough credit but it did not stop them from working. Everyone should realize that everyone has a dream and there should not be any difference between them. Most of the women are just expected to be housewives once they grow up but each woman has a dream to chase thereafter.

Malala Yousafzai was an activist for women’s rights. She stood up for all the women and made a lot of changes. She even got shot in a school bus by the Taliban. But she never gave up and always believed and supported this problem. She was awarded The National Youth Peace Prize. Malala always supported women’s rights and how they should be treated equally to men.

All of us should respect and treat each other equally, whether it is a man or a woman we should respect each other’s dreams, capabilities, and rights. We should be helping each other and not work separately. Let’s all be treated equally, not less, not more.

Let us treat women and men equally!
