Union Home Minister Amit Shah is scheduled to attend at least three public events in Ahmedabad on Saturday.
Shah is scheduled to attend an event honouring the 35th anniversary of Gujarat Lok Seva Trust, a nonprofit organisation managed by seasoned former Congressman Rajkumar Gupta.
Gupta, a 40-year Congressman, left the Gujarat Congress in March 2022 after Rohan, his son and the party’s national spokesperson, withdrew from the Ahmedabad East Lok Sabha seat, citing his father’s poor health.
Harsh Sanghavi, Gujarat’s Minister of State for Home, will attend the event with Shah.
Shah is also expected to dedicate a private hospital on Sindhu Bhavan Road, according to reports. Shah will spend around 15 minutes at the hospital.
Shah to Attend BAPS Event
Shah will also go to the Karyakar Suvarna Mahotsav of the Swaminarayan sect Bochasanwasi Akshar Purushottam Swaminarayan Sanstha (BAPS) at Narendra Modi Stadium in Motera on Saturday evening.
Prime Minister Narendra Modi is going to address virtually at the event, which Chief Minister Bhupendra Patel will attend.
