Iconic rock band Guns N’ Roses have announced that they will perform in India in May 2025. The announcement was made on their Instagram page with the caption, “We’re coming to India! This is going to be special.”
The band is scheduled to perform in Mumbai at the Mahalakshmi Racecourse on May 17. Ticket sales will commence for Kotak Mahindra Bank customers on March 17 from 12 pm, while general ticket sales will begin on March 19 at 4 pm.
BookMyShow has listed the ticket price as Rs 4,999, although prices may change once bookings begin.
This will mark Guns N’ Roses’ second performance in India, with their first taking place in 2012. Frontman Axl Rose is expected to perform alongside Slash, Doug McKagan, Richard Fortus, Frank Ferrer, and Mellisa Reece. Slash, who embarked on a solo career in 1996, rejoined the band in 2016.
Formed in 1985, Guns N’ Roses gained international fame with hits like “Sweet Child O’ Mine,” “November Rain,” and “Don’t Cry.” Their debut album, Appetite for Destruction, was released in 1986 under Geffen Records.
The band has released six studio albums, five EPs, one live album, 24 singles, 10 video albums, and 27 music videos. Their last studio album, Chinese Democracy, was released in 2008.
The Mumbai concert is part of a world tour that will begin in South Korea, with India being the third destination. The concert is being produced by BookMyShow Live in association with LiveNation. Supporting acts for the tour include Sex Pistols, Rival Sons, and Public Enemy, though it remains uncertain if these acts will perform in India.
Guns N’ Roses’ influence on rock music has been significant, and their upcoming concert is expected to offer Indian fans a glimpse into their enduring legacy.
