The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has forecast heavy to very heavy rainfall at isolated places across various districts of Gujarat and adjoining Union Territories till July 5.
Regions including Surat, Navsari, Valsad, Dang, Tapi, Gir Somnath, and parts of Daman, Diu, and Dadra and Nagar Haveli are expected to receive significant rainfall during the period with yellow to orange alert issued in some district.
According to IMD, heavy rains are very likely at isolated places in the districts of Aravalli, Panchmahal, Dahod, Mahisagar, Surat, Dang, Tapi, Navsari, Valsad, and in Daman, Dadra and Nagar Haveli; Amreli, Bhavnagar, Gir Somnath, and in Diu on Tuesday.
On Wednesday, heavy to very heavy rain is very likely at isolated places in the districts of Navsari, Valsad, and in Daman, Dadra and Nagar Haveli. Furthermore, Heavy rains are very likely at isolated places in the districts of Sabarkantha, Aravalli, Panchmahal, Dahod, Mahisagar, Chhota Udepur, Narmada, Surat, Dang, and Tapi; Amreli, Bhavnagar, Gir Somnath, and in Diu.
On July3, heavy to very heavy rain is very likely at isolated places in the districts of Sabarkantha, Aravalli, Surat, Navsari, Valsad, and in Daman, Dadra and Nagar Haveli. While, heavy rains are very likely at isolated places in the districts of Banaskantha, Patan, Mehsana, Gandhinagar, Panchmahal, Dahod, Mahisagar, Vadodara, Chhota Udepur, Narmada, Bharuch, Dang, and Tapi; Amreli, Bhavnagar, Gir Somnath, and in Diu.
The IMD said that on July 4, heavy rains are very likely at isolated places in the districts of Sabarkantha, Aravalli, Anand, Vadodara, Narmada, Bharuch, Surat, Navsari, Valsad, and in Daman, Dadra and Nagar Haveli; Junagadh, Amreli, Bhavnagar, Gir Somnath, and in Diu.
On July 5, heavy rains are very likely at isolated places in the districts of Banaskantha, Patan, Mehsana, Sabarkantha, Aravalli, Mahisagar, Surat, Navsari, Valsad, and in Daman, Dadra and Nagar Haveli; Amreli, Bhavnagar, Gir Somnath, Kutch, and in Diu.
